BabyMonster proved its worth as a 'monster rookie' with a perfect live performance lasting 2 hours and 20 minutes in Kanagawa, the starting point of its debut Japanese tour.
BabyMonster held the '2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR
With a grand intro resonating through the venue, BabyMonster took the stage and instantly lifted the atmosphere with the powerful energy of 'DRIP.' They continued to raise adrenaline with their outstanding vocal and rap abilities with songs like 'BATTER UP,' 'CLIK CLAK,' 'LIKE THAT,' and 'SHEESH.'
The high-quality production and staging, showcasing YG's expertise, filled the runtime, including a band sound arrangement for all songs. Among them, the solo stage featuring their debut narrative was a continuous wave of overwhelming emotion. The diverse performances, including ballad, R&B, and hip-hop, captivated the audience, allowing them to glimpse the remarkable musical growth the group has achieved.
True to their reputation for completed live performances, BabyMonster's stage presence and relaxed manner were exceptional. The palpable aura emanating from the members, along with their captivating expressions and gestures, combined to deliver a thrilling excitement.
In response, the audience replied with enthusiastic cheers and applause, collectively creating a precious memory. The members said, "It was really fun to meet the fans in Japan. Let's make many more memories in the future," while Luka and Asa, who returned to their hometown, expressed, "It was a happy moment to perform where we were born and raised. It was a dream come true."
Through this performance in Kanagawa, BabyMonster energetically launched the signal flare for its debut Japanese tour and will continue to Aichi, Osaka, Kanagawa, and Fukuoka. Despite the schedule being more than double that of last year's fan meeting, all 11 shows in 4 cities sold out early, marking the group's rapid rise in popularity and solid standing in Japan.
Meanwhile, BabyMonster's cumulative album sales, combining its mini album [BABYMONS7ER] and the full-length album [DRIP], have surpassed 1.68 million copies. The overwhelming talent proven through dense activities last year, along with the rapid release of a full-length album and the release of six high-quality music videos, has attracted new fans. Once the world tour, which will continue this global upward trend, concludes, the final sales figures are expected to increase further.
