Last year, the group TWS, which won the title of ‘best new K-pop artist,’ is set to officially debut in Japan this summer.TWS (Shin-yu, Do-hoon, Young-jae, Hanjin Logistics, Ji-hoon, Kyung-min) successfully completed the fan meeting ’2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING ’42:CLUB' IN JAPAN' held at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza Main Arena in Tokyo on the 15th-16th. All three performances were sold out. A total of about 30,000 fans gathered at the venue, showcasing their interest and popularity.
TWS made a surprise announcement about their debut in Japan during this fan meeting. Leader Shin-yu said, “TWS will be making its debut in Japan this July,” which was met with loud applause and cheers from the audience. Given that they have already been recognized as ‘the hottest K-pop hopeful’ by local popular magazines and music broadcasts, fans erupted in excitement.TWS showcased its unique refreshing charm and lively energy, communicating with fans in fluent Japanese to build a deeper bond. Fans enthusiastically responded by chanting the cheer for their debut song ‘The First Meeting Doesn’t Go as Planned’ along with various other songs.
The pop-up store commemorating TWS’s fan meeting also performed well. The ’2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING ’42:CLUB' IN JAPAN' pop-up store, held near Shinjuku Station in Tokyo from the 8th-16th, was fully booked within 20 minutes of the opening of the reservation page, attracting a large crowd. The pop-up store was filled with rich experiences, from the blue cabinet, the main object of the fan meeting, to various merchandise.
Meanwhile, TWS topped the Oricon weekly ranking with their first single ‘Last Bell,’ released last year, and received the gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. They also participated in significant popular end-of-year broadcasts such as ’2024 FNS Music Festival' and ‘Best Hit Music Festival 2024,’ spreading K-cool energy in Japan.
