Singer KCM once again paid tribute to the late Wheesung.
On the 16th, KCM said, "Seong-a, you have really worked hard... Now rest in peace. I won't forget you... Let's sing together on stage again later," as he honored his fellow singer Wheesung once more. It has been about five days since the 11th. At that time, KCM had also said, "Let's meet on March 15... Seong-a, I'm sorry..." especially through personal stories, mentioning a seafood restaurant currently operating in Jeju, with a notice saying, "We are closed today. Please take note of your visit."
Earlier, KCM and the late Wheesung were scheduled to hold a joint concert, "The Story," at 6 p.m. on the 15th at the Daegu EXCO auditorium. Wheesung had also expressed excitement about meeting fans on his personal social media on the 6th, saying, "The diet is over; see you on March 15." However, a sudden sad news came on the 10th, five days before the concert. Wheesung was found collapsed in cardiorespiratory arrest around 6:29 p.m. at his apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Emergency responders who arrived after being notified by the family conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other emergency measures, but he was pronounced dead. Ultimately, the joint concert was canceled. On the same day, a representative from KCM's agency A2Z Entertainment told OSEN, "KCM and Wheesung were supposed to hold a joint concert in the provinces on the 15th, but we heard the news of Wheesung's passing today," adding, "The concert wasn't planned as a duet stage for the two singers; it was organized so that Wheesung would perform for one hour and KCM for one hour," and noted, "After we received the sad news, we were informed by the concert planning agency about the final cancellation of the concert," offering condolences for the deceased.
Meanwhile, from 11 a.m. on the 14th, a memorial space for the late Wheesung was set up at the Samsung Seoul Hospital funeral home. Celebrities such as Lee Hyori, IU, god's Kim Taewoo, KCM, K.Will, Gummy, Lyn, Baby Vox's Shim Eun Jin and Lee Hee Jin, as well as Kan Mi Yeon, Kim I Ji, One Time's Song Baek Kyung, Deus' Lee Hyun Do, Brown Eyed Soul's Naul, Kim Bum Soo, Ha Dong Kyun, Ailee, Ali, Big Mama, Muzie, and ICHILLIN visited the memorial to express their condolences. BTS and TWICE sent floral wreaths to bid farewell to their senior in the music industry.
