Actor Kang Tae-oh has emerged as the 'nation's ideal boyfriend.'

Kang plays the role of the principled So Baek-ho in the tvN weekend drama 'The Potato Lab,' showcasing his enhanced romantic comedy acting.

In particular, Kang has meticulously portrayed the three-stage emotional changes leading up to a romantic involvement. His character, oscillating between a sweet ideal boyfriend and a fierce workplace superior, boasted a 100% synchronization rate and heightened excitement.

In the early part of the show, So Baek-ho, who was initially emotionless like a robot, gradually falls for Kim Mi-kyung (played by Lee Sun-bin) and begins to feel subtle emotions. So Baek-ho, who has an adversarial relationship with Kim Mi-kyung, ends up kissing her after getting drunk, expressing his complex feelings sometimes comically and other times seriously.

Subtle emotions soon blossomed into interest. After being notified of his dismissal, So Baek-ho worries when Kim Mi-kyung returns home late and chases after her to help as she rushes into a potato greenhouse during a storm, gradually opening his heart.

Notably, in the broadcast on the 15th, So Baek-ho maximized the excitement with a direct confession to Kim Mi-kyung, saying, "It's intriguing." With a serious gaze, he expressed his deepening feelings for Kim Mi-kyung, drawing attention to So Baek-ho's future endeavors, which seem to precisely target the hearts of viewers.
