Actor Park Byung-eun reminisced about Seo Yea-ji's comeback work "Eve."
On the 16th, a video titled "We absolutely don't laugh when people are funny," featuring Ha Jung-woo and Park Byung-eun, was released on the YouTube channel "Fairy Jae-hyung."
Park Byung-eun stated that he began acting because "When I was in middle school, a teacher asked me if I wanted to try acting, and after looking into it, I started by taking the entrance exam for Anyang Arts High School's Theatre and Film Department."
He added, "I went to Anyang Arts High School right away without lessons. I did free acting and got accepted, which surprised the teacher. In high school, I learned a lot about acting and created stages. Those experiences helped later when auditioning. During "Assassination," I borrowed money from a friend to rent costumes from an association, wearing a Japanese officer's outfit, and my friend took all the photos. I was so eager that I didn't feel ashamed even when taking pictures in places like izakayas."
After about 20 years of living in obscurity, Park Byung-eun noted, "The stress of being unknown was not that great. I thought that if I worked hard like this, I would definitely have some position as an actor, which was a humble kind of vanity. In my late 30s, it became a bit urgent. I worried about what I would do if I didn't succeed after turning 40 and wanted to meet my parents' expectations. Before "Assassination," I lived with my parents, so I wanted to fulfill their hopes. After "Assassination," I became independent."
After that, Park Byung-eun took on leading roles in dramas "Eve" and "This Life is Our First." He said, "It felt like I was entering another project. I wasn't overly delighted. I had to take off my upper clothes for the project, so I finally canceled my personal training. I couldn't get my body ready. People around me were congratulating me, but I felt the same whether the project was big or small. I wasn't really jittery or anything."
