After successfully concluding her first solo concert since her solo debut, Jennie has sparked some voices of disappointment.
On the 15th, Jennie held 'The Ruby Experience' show to celebrate the release of her first solo studio album 'Ruby' at Inspire Arena.
'The Ruby Experience' not only showcased all the tracks from 'Ruby' but also held special significance as Jennie's first solo performance in Korea.
On that day, Jennie performed all tracks of her album solely with her unique voice, delivering a total of 15 live performances. Opening the show with the first track of 'Ruby,' 'Intro: JANE with FKJ,' and 'start a war,' Jennie presented a continuous lineup with 'Handlebars,' 'Mantra,' 'Love Hangover,' 'ZEN,' and 'Damn Right.' Additionally, after the stage of 'Seoul City' concluded, the music video for 'Seoul City' was premiered.
After the performances of the title track 'like JENNIE,' 'with the IE (way up),' and 'ExtraL,' Jennie greeted her fans and shared her thoughts, at which point she shed tears. Following this, Jennie concluded with the performances of 'F.T.S' and 'Filter,' and when the audience chanted her name, Jennie reappeared on stage, finishing the concert with encore performances of 'Starlight' and 'twin.'
Though the concert was filled with a variety of musical colors and intense performances, online voices of disappointment surfaced after the show, noting it was 'below expectations.' Although the concert description initially stated a runtime of 120 minutes, the actual show lasted only about 75 minutes. The brief communication time with the audience, around 5 to 10 minutes, was also pointed out.
The high ticket prices have also come under scrutiny. Despite the concert lasting over an hour, tickets were priced at 220,000 won for Ruby seats, 165,000 won for R seats, 154,000 won for S seats, and 143,000 won for A seats, leading to criticisms that the value for money is 'lacking.'
On the other hand, positive remarks from fans who actually attended the concert continue, stating things like 'I enjoyed it' and 'The high price didn't feel justified because of the extravagant performances.'
