Singer Kim Bum-soo mourned the late Hwi-sung, who sadly passed away.
On the 14th, Kim Bum-soo stated, "I won't forget.. the trivial music talks we shared all night.." and added, "I hope you embrace with love, share warm feelings, and may we each be happy in our own way while comforting each other's flaws, RIP Realslow."
Kim Bum-soo completed his visit to the deceased's wake in person that day and later left messages of remembrance on social media, wishing for the deceased's peace.
The deceased and Kim Bum-soo had built a long-standing friendship as juniors and seniors in the music industry, and Kim Bum-soo's song 'My Baby,' released in 2011, was written and composed by Hwi-sung. Hwi-sung also participated in the song as a featured artist.
Initially, Hwi-sung's side planned to hold the funeral quietly with only family members present, but it is reported that they changed their minds due to persuasion from fellow artists. The deceased's wake was set up at the Samsung Medical Center funeral hall in Seoul, and the farewell ceremony and burial will take place on the 16th, with the burial site being the Gwangneung Memorial Park.
At the wake are Kim Bum-soo, Lee Hyori, IU, K.Will, Naul, god's Kim Tae-woo, Gummy, BMK, Lyn, KCM, and many other fellow singers who were close friends with the deceased or had deep connections, as well as fans.
Meanwhile, Hwi-sung was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, around 6:29 p.m. on the 10th. He was 43 years old. The Gwangjin Police Station received a verbal primary report from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation stating that the cause of death is unknown. It is expected that it will take about two more weeks for the results of detailed tests to arrive.
