Lee Chan-won from KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' revealed that he has begun diet management, focusing attention on the news of EXID grants.
KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' (directed by Park Hyung-keun, Kim Hyung-seok, and Choi Seung-beom) is undoubtedly the best music entertainment program, boasting the top viewership ratings in its time slot. The 697th episode, airing today (15th), will feature the 'Artist Baby V.O.X.' edition.
On this day, EXID will reunite as a whole group for the first time in about six years since KBS's 'Open Concert' in June 2019, receiving a warm welcome. When asked about how it felt to perform together after so long, they humorously shared, "It wasn't smooth. My memory has declined, and I kept getting sick. We had to take a 5-minute break after just one practice session," eliciting laughter.
Meanwhile, MC Lee Chan-won confessed his immense fan affection for EXID, capturing everyone's attention. When MC Kim Jun-hyun mentioned that he liked Baby V.O.X during his military service, Lee Chan-won remarked, "Our time was EXID." He went on to shyly express, "The two teams I admire and love the most in my heart are EXID and Kim Yeon-ja," drawing interest.
In response, Kim Jun-hyun could not hide his surprise at Lee Chan-won's changed demeanor throughout the recording. Eventually, he exclaimed, "I've never seen someone host the show with such personal feelings before," to which Lee Chan-won revealed, "Actually, I found out that EXID was granting about 3-4 days ago, and I've been on a one meal a day diet since then," shocking the talk room.
When asked which EXID member he was a fan of, Lee Chan-won seemed at a loss for words and appealed, "I'm really losing it today," raising further curiosity. He reportedly revealed his fan affection for EXID by sweating and turning red in the face.
In particular, Lee Chan-won expressed his wish for EXID to win by saying, "I hope you win today and come back for the mid-year championship," broadcasting his personal feelings and drawing jeers from other participants. Solji, a regular guest on 'Immortal Songs,' may also have the chance to embrace her first-ever trophy with EXID.
Meanwhile, the featured artist for this special is Baby V.O.X, a first-generation girl group that debuted in 1997 and produced numerous hit songs until the mid-2000s, receiving great love. Baby V.O.X, who last performed together on stage at the 'KBS Gayo Daechukje Global Festival' after 14 years in December last year, has confirmed their appearance as artists on 'Immortal Songs.' Stephanie, Uk Joong-wan Band, EXID, ONEWE, and Jeong Seung-won will recreate Baby V.O.X's classic songs in their own styles. Notably, EXID is expected to explode with anticipation as they resume group activities for the first time in six years on 'Immortal Songs.'
