The bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron repeatedly demanded a public apology from Kim Soo-hyun.
The bereaved family stated on the 15th through the YouTube channel "Garoseyo Research Institute (hereafter Garoseyo)": "First, we hope that Mr. Kim Soo-hyun acknowledges that he dated Kim Sae-ron since her minor years and gives an official apology. Second, we demand an official apology regarding the statement made by the agency Gold Medalist claiming that they have not been in a relationship for the past three years, as well as the part where they mentioned just three days ago that they have never dated. Third, we would appreciate it if they could acknowledge Kim Sae-ron's contributions as a founding member of the company and also apologize for that."
They added, "Fourth, we hope he acknowledges and officially apologizes for sending a demand for payment regarding 700 million won. Fifth, the reason the statement did not mention Mr. Kim Soo-hyun was to focus on the warnings about Lee Jin-ho and the cyber blackmail, and we, the bereaved family, ask for nothing but an official apology from Kim Soo-hyun and the agency."
The late Kim Sae-ron's side has been publicly exposing Kim Soo-hyun through "Garoseyo" daily. They raised suspicions of 'grooming crimes,' alleging that Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron since her minor years. Additionally, it was asserted that Kim Soo-hyun's agency pressured them by sending a notice regarding 700 million won in damages due to Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving offense, claiming that Kim Soo-hyun merely stood by.
In response, Gold Medalist stated that Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron from the summer of 2019 when she was an adult until autumn 2020, denying the related suspicions. They also refuted the notice, explaining that it was left simply as part of the legal procedure during the process of handling penalties due to Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving accident and insisted that they did not demand repayment.
However, in response to this rebuttal from Kim Soo-hyun's side, the bereaved family continues to counterattack through "Garoseyo." In this process, details of Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased's private life have been disclosed to the public. As a result, Kim Soo-hyun's side expressed concern, stating, "We think it is inappropriate for both the mother and the deceased, who tried to find any way to restore the deceased's honor, to publicly debate this matter."
