Nam Bora, who is set to marry in May, has been the victim of a used goods transaction scam.
On the 15th, according to the audience rating survey company Nielsen Korea, the KBS 2TV entertainment program "New Release Searo" (hereinafter "Searo"), which aired on the afternoon of the 14th, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 4%. Additionally, the 2049 viewership rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness, stood at 1.3%, demonstrating strength across various generations of viewers as it surpassed 1% for four consecutive weeks. The resilience of "Searo," which firmly holds its ground on the competitive content battlefield of Friday evenings, has been proven once again.
During the broadcast, Nam Bora, the eldest daughter from a family of 13 siblings and an upcoming bride, shared her heartwarming daily life. While busy preparing for her wedding, Nam Bora cooked a large volume of tteokbokki, eomuk soup, and gimbap for her younger siblings. During this process, Nam Bora confessed to being a victim of a used goods transaction scam, and her fiancé's reaction was also revealed, drawing attention.
On that day, Nam Bora asked her family group chat for help deciding on the main photo for her mobile invitation. Amid the varying reactions of her family, Nam Bora sent a message saying, "Let's have a tteokbokki party at our house!" It's a system where people who want to eat come over if she makes an announcement, similar to a restaurant.
Nam Bora prepared a large volume of the three types of snacks. As the eldest daughter in a family of 13, she is accustomed to cooking in bulk. That day, Nam Bora made tteokbokki using 1 kg (20 pieces) of wheat and rice cakes and placed them on a large commercial iron plate. She also boiled 4.8 liters of water with 20 skewered fish cakes in a bone soup pot for eomuk soup. She cooked 4 kg (20 servings) of rice and prepared ample filling, completing 30 rolls of gimbap in just one hour without any help, impressing everyone.
Around the time Nam Bora completed the large volume of snacks, her siblings Sebin, Sora, and the youngest, Youngil, arrived. The siblings who tasted Nam Bora's snacks responded with the best reactions. Nam Bora began cooking when she was in the 3rd grade of elementary school as the eldest daughter of 13 siblings. That day, her siblings reminisced about the dishes she used to cook for them when they were younger. Nam Bora also recalled her experience of caring for her youngest sibling Youngil, who is 20 years younger, confidently stating, "I'm not worried about parenting."
The siblings also shared their heartfelt thoughts towards Nam Bora, who is about to get married. Sebin said, "Although the eldest sister is meticulous and capable, there are times when she can be a bit careless. I'm glad she seems to trust and rely on her fiancé a lot." In fact, Nam Bora recently fell victim to a used goods transaction scam, suffering a loss of 1.45 million won.
Nam Bora stated, "I bought a gimbap cutter because I wanted to cut 800 rolls of gimbap more easily for my volunteer work. It was too expensive at the regular price, so I transferred money through a used goods transaction, but I regretted it. It was frustrating that the item didn't arrive, and I had to cut 800 rolls of gimbap by hand, which made me really angry. At that moment, my fiancé said, 'What can you do? You have to cut it,' and then came over the next day to help cut it. My fiancé is rational and prudent, helping me make the right decisions."
Sebin remarked, "As the eldest sister, she has a sense of responsibility. Now that she has a partner, I hope she can lean on him a lot." Sora also added, "As she graduates from our house like graduating from school, I hope she can create many new experiences and memories in her new home." Nam Bora expressed her gratitude to her wonderful siblings, saying, "Thank you all for growing so well. When you're having a hard time or feeling lonely, come find me," bringing a sense of warmth.
The broadcast was heartwarming as it showcased the loving portrayal of Nam Bora, the eldest daughter from a family of 13, who displays a big-hearted nature, the responsibility of being the eldest, and the sincere affections of her siblings towards her.
