"In the show 'New Menu Launch Restaurant,' actress Nam Bora became the star of 'The Best 1 Minute.'
On the 15th, ratings research firm Nielsen Korea reported that the KBS 2TV entertainment program 'New Menu Launch Restaurant' (abbreviated as 'Restaurant'), aired on the 14th, recorded a nationwide rating of 4%. The 2049 rating also reached 1.3%, surpassing 1% for four consecutive weeks, proving that 'Restaurant' is receiving widespread love from diverse viewer demographics.
In that episode, Nam Bora, the eldest daughter of a family with 13 siblings and an engaged bride-to-be ahead of her wedding in May, shared her happy daily life. While busy preparing for her wedding, Nam Bora made a large quantity of tteokbokki, fish cake soup, and kimbap for her siblings. The viewers were greatly touched by Nam Bora's big-heartedness, demonstrated by her preparing 'basic 10 servings,' and the heartfelt reactions from her siblings, who know her better than anyone else.
Among them, the large quantity of delicious kimbap that Nam Bora made garnered a lot of attention. She used 4 kg of rice to cook 20 servings of rice and generously prepared the filling ingredients for the kimbap using a commercial-grade large cooking pan. This included gigantic egg sheets and a mountain of carrot stir-fry, and 4 kg of spinach. While the amount was truly jaw-dropping, Nam Bora amusingly emphasized, "When it’s cheap, it doesn’t last long. They eat it quickly" several times.
Shortly after, the siblings who arrived also gave the best reaction to Nam Bora's food. In particular, they reminisced about the dishes Nam Bora had made for them since childhood. It was also revealed that Nam Bora's family recently rolled a whopping 800 kimbap together for a volunteer activity, which drew astonishment. This scene recorded a 6% rating per minute, marking 'The Best 1 Minute' of that day's broadcast.
On that day, Nam Bora confessed that she had suffered a loss of 1.45 million won due to recent transaction fraud, noting that her fiancé is logical and prudent, helping her make correct choices. The siblings, who had watched Nam Bora take on the responsibility as the eldest daughter, expressed their support, saying, "We hope you gather many new experiences and memories in your new family after graduating from our house (with your fiancé)."
