Actor Yoo Yeon-seok is embroiled in a tax evasion controversy.

On the 14th, a representative from Yoo Yeon-seok's agency, King Kong by Starship, noted to OSEN regarding the tax evasion controversy, "We are currently verifying the news and preparing a detailed stance."

On the same morning, CBS No Cut News reported that the National Tax Service had notified Yoo Yeon-seok that it would impose about 7 billion won in taxes, including income tax, following a rigorous tax investigation. This exceeds the amount associated with actor Lee Ha-nee, who was previously embroiled in allegations of evasion amounting to about 6 billion won.

Yoo Yeon-seok is said to have received a tax investigation during the process of establishing his entertainment agency, Forever Entertainment. However, he submitted a request for a pre-tax assessment in January and intends to actively clarify his position to rectify the imposed tax amount. Therefore, the initial reporting media also explained that through the clarification process, the imposed 7 billion won could be significantly reduced to the 3 billion won range.

Meanwhile, Yoo Yeon-seok is scheduled to appear in the title role of the new SBS drama "Shin I-Rang Law Office," which will air in August.
