The group LE SSERAFIM released their fifth mini album 'HOT' and announced their comeback by unveiling the music video for the title track of the same name.
The music video for the title track 'HOT' by LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Huh Yoon-jin, Kazuha, Hong Eun-chae), released today (14th) at 1 p.m. on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel, was directed by Yang Yoon-ah, who previously worked on the title track 'CRAZY' from their fourth mini album and the trailer for the new release. The fearless team's identity was reflected in the music video.
In the video, the members embark on an adventure to regain freedom in a confusing space where it's hard to distinguish reality from a dream. To effectively convey the longing for freedom, a rough yet dynamic direction was attempted. The angle was captured from the perspective of a ceiling fan and a 360-degree camera was used to create unique scenes. Additionally, the segments featuring Kazuha and Kim Chae-won, along with the group choreography, were filmed in a single take, making it hard to take one's eyes off.
The members' flawless performance is a major highlight of the music video. The choreography filmed at the beginning with wide-angle and fisheye lenses gives a rough and fresh feel. As the song progresses, the emotion intensifies, and a captivating point dance captured in a fantastical space with golden lighting draws attention. They showcase movements that seamlessly blend strength and delicacy, building anticipation for the stage. The music video concludes with scenes of reveling in freedom in places that feel like salvation or destruction. The title track 'HOT' is a song that expresses a willingness to risk everything for love, even if the outcome is uncertain. LE SSERAFIM speaks about love for the first time in a title track since their debut. Through the lyrics 'You make me dream of miracles again,' it showcases the beauty of love, while 'Don't be afraid, there's no doubt / Hold my hand' displays passion and certainty. Interestingly, despite its strong title, the melody is lyrical. 'HOT' features a pop genre infused with rock and disco, boasting an addictive quality that lingers after just one listen. LE SSERAFIM will kick off their full-fledged music broadcast activities starting at 5:05 p.m. on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' today, and they will meet fans through various popular web entertainment shows like 'Workman' and 'Yongtaro.'
