Searo Lee Joo-bin returns with a relatable reality.

tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Searo' (directed by Lee Won-seok and Choi Bo-kyung, written by Lee Tae-yoon, planned by CJ ENM and Studio Genie, produced by Mongjakso and Studio Mondo) unveiled character stills of Lee Joo-bin perfectly immersed as 'Kang Han-deul' who captivates with a confident bright smile on the 14th.

'Searo' is a pure protection office romantic comedy that takes place as it introduces divorce insurance products to cope with the hottest disaster of our time, divorce, developed by the innovation product development team of an insurance company filled with the best brains. Through the process of creating divorce insurance that guarantees life's aftermath for everyone who faces the potential disaster of divorce and unexpected breakups, it presents a relatable growth story for adults aiming to live 'authentically.' Directed by Lee Won-seok, who showcased a sensuous and witty directorial style in the film 'Killing Romance,' and written by Lee Tae-yoon, who received public acclaim for works with fresh and unique concepts like 'Secret Royal Inspector & Joy,' 'The Sound of Magic,' and 'Diva,' anticipation is heightened.

Lee Joo-bin plays 'Kang Han-deul,' an insurance company underwriter (insurance contract examination) who is reborn through divorce. Determined to become a different person starting from the divorce, Kang Han-deul joins the divorce insurance task force team of Noh Gi-joon (played by Lee Dong-wook), gaining the courage to take a step forward in the world and develops a new type of relationship with Noh Gi-joon.

As expectations rise for the chemistry to be completed with Lee Dong-wook, the photos released that day capture Kang Han-deul's bright smile at once. After ending a marriage life that was endured with the belief that simply tolerating was the answer, Kang Han-deul becomes a novice in divorce. Taking advice from her close younger sister Jo Ah-young (played by Chu So-jung), she transforms into a 'Bang-Ttole' (a comical person who says everything) and joins Plus Insurance as an underwriter, embarking on a new challenge by applying for the divorce insurance task force team. Attention is drawn to Kang Han-deul’s relatable growth story as she resolves to live for herself after the divorce.

Lee Joo-bin noted, 'The fresh material and unique development method were intriguing. It is a work that mixes lightheartedness and seriousness appropriately.' She shared the reason for selecting the project, saying, 'I wanted to do more after hearing that the director and seniors are participating.' She added, 'The non-obvious storyline and character descriptions were fresh, and the characters appearing in various episodes were also realistic yet not lacking in comedic elements, which was nice,' stimulating anticipation.

Comparing 'Kang Han-deul' to a reed that does not break even in a strong storm, Lee Joo-bin said, 'Han-deul is someone who habitually thinks of and considers others first. He tries to view situations positively while maintaining a warm perspective and heart towards people, which is Han-deul's charm.' She added, 'The quirkiness that emerges within the seriousness is an adorable trait.' She also mentioned, 'Among various characters, I think Han-deul is the most realistic.
