Actor Kim Soo-hyun was expected to face a setback in his activities due to revelations from 'Gaseyeon' (Garoseoro Research Institute), but it has recently been reported that he attended the recording of the MBC entertainment program 'Good Day.'
Earlier, the YouTube channel Garoseoro Research Institute claimed based on a tip-off from the late Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family that the deceased had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for over six years since the age of 15, when she was a minor.
The controversy has sparked significant backlash, causing alarm in the advertising industry. In particular, Homeplus stated it would monitor the situation related to Kim Soo-hyun's controversy, but it had previously removed the main photo featuring Kim Soo-hyun's full body from the application’s home screen. Meanwhile, on the 13th, a confirmation from OSEN revealed that Homeplus had switched Kim Soo-hyun's advertisements, which were posted on YouTube, to private. Although Homeplus has not officially explained the reason for making the advertisement video private, it appears to be mindful of the negative public sentiment surrounding the death of the late Kim Sae-ron.
As a result, there are growing concerns that Kim Soo-hyun's broadcasting activities might be hindered even more. In particular, he is currently participating in the MBC entertainment program 'Good Day.' On the same day, a representative from 'Good Day' stated to OSEN regarding Kim Soo-hyun's recording, "We minimized the scheduled activities and proceeded with the recording."
The filming of 'Good Day,' which took place that afternoon, was scheduled to include a meeting of key guests such as G-Dragon and Kim Soo-hyun, but it was initially unclear whether Kim Soo-hyun would attend. Accordingly, 'Good Day' had maintained a cautious stance concerning Kim Soo-hyun's attendance, stating, "We are verifying the situation."
Despite the negative public sentiment, it has been reported that Kim Soo-hyun attended the recording as planned, and after discussions, it was decided to minimize the scheduled activities during filming, generating additional buzz.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun's team on the 13th stated, "To correct the facts and respond to unfounded rumors, we will clarify our position next week based on clear evidence. We apologize for causing prolonged discomfort. We request this to avoid continued reporting."
