[OSEN Reporter Kang Seo-jeong] The main characters of "Villains Everywhere" introduced the charm points of the work.
With the premiere of the new Wednesday-Thursday sitcom "Villains Everywhere" (directed by Kim Young-jo, Choi Jeong-eun, written by Chae Woo, Park Kwang-yeon) scheduled for the 19th, and just 6 days before its first broadcast, the main cast, including Oh Na-ra (as Oh Na-ra), So Yoo-jin (as Oh Yoo-jin), Seo Hyun-cheol (as Seo Hyun-cheol), Song Jin-woo (as Song Jin-woo), along with Choi Ye-na (as Koo Won-hee), Han Seong-min (as Seo In-na), Jeong Min-kyu (as Seo Yeong-hoon), and Eun Chan (as Song Kang), explored the unique charms of the work.
First, Oh Na-ra defined "Villains Everywhere" as "me," stating, "Because it is a work that uses my name, I reflect myself in it. In a world overflowing with villains, I might also become someone else's villain, and situations arise where we can all be villains to each other. Our drama will offer joy through a delightful array of cute characters that clear away frustrations on behalf of the audience," hinting at the unique fun that sets it apart from other dramas.
Next, So Yoo-jin noted, "'Villains Everywhere' is ultimately our story. It depicts our lives, where we spend ordinary days but, in the end, lay in bed saying, 'I really worked hard today.' It resembles us a lot," sparking expectations for a realistic daily story. Seo Hyun-cheol stated, "Our work is like jjajangmyeon. When it's hard to choose between laughter and emotion, you can enjoy both flavors," appealing to its diverse attractions.
Meanwhile, Song Jin-woo expressed, "As we go through life, there exists hatred and conflict, as well as love and happiness. In our sitcom, that is expressed more dramatically, but ultimately it captures the world we live in. I believe viewers will resonate with it, feel moved, and laugh," showcasing strong confidence in the work.
On the other hand, Choi Ye-na said, "Nowadays, I too have no leisure in life, and due to being busy, I don't watch TV often. Maybe that's why I feel like I'm lacking healing or laughter compared to before. Our work is like a 'rice friend' drama that you can play lightly while eating, smile, and watch comfortably." She also added, "Each character of all the actors feels alive, and the relationships between characters will be a significant point of interest in the drama."
Han Seong-min described "Villains Everywhere" as like a "cushion," saying, "It can provide comfort and courage while gently wrapping around a wounded heart," and encouraged viewers to "feel the warm comfort like a cushion in the family's warm moments in the drama." Additionally, Jeong Min-kyu stated, "I hope the genre of sitcom can gain the public's love and revive through 'Villains Everywhere.'" Eun Chan added, "'Villains Everywhere' is a warm work where, after a long time, you can feel all the emotion, laughter, and happiness among family."
