Yutaka Matsushige, known for 'The lonely gourmet,' revealed behind-the-scenes details related to director Bong Joon-ho.

On the afternoon of the 13th, a press preview and a Korean news conference for the movie 'The lonely gourmet: The movie' were held at CGV Yongsan Ipark Mall. In attendance was Yutaka Matsushige, who directed, wrote, planned, and starred in the film.

'The lonely gourmet: The movie' begins in Paris, France, and captures scenes on a remote island in Japan, Namhae Island in Korea, and Geoje, ultimately returning to Tokyo, Japan! It depicts the unintended adventure of Goro, a professional solo eater, who seeks the ultimate broth.

Yutaka Matsushige noted, "When I planned the film this time, I hoped to create a large-scale work that went beyond the framework of Japanese cinema." He added, "I wrote a letter to director Bong Joon-ho, wondering if he could bring a fun twist to this project, as he had participated only once before. Unfortunately, his schedule didn't match. Nonetheless, he sent a warm message saying he was looking forward to the success of the project."

He continued, "I thought I should direct this film myself, but I never imagined that director Bong Joon-ho's work (Mickey 17) would be released at the same time. I didn't anticipate that we would be aware of each other's audiences in this way. However, this film was made as a challenge."

Meanwhile, 'The lonely gourmet: The movie' is set to premiere on the 19th.
