Singer Noh Young-shim offered advice to actor Park Bo-gum regarding his role as the MC of a late-night music program.
On the 11th, the first recording of KBS2's 'The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' (hereinafter referred to as Park Bo-gum's Cantabile) took place at KBS Yeouido in the Yeongdeungpo district of Seoul.
'The Seasons' is a music talk show that has introduced a unique format called 'annual project' for the first time in a late-night music program from KBS, where four MCs each take on a season named after them throughout the year 2023. It has seen various shows such as 'Jay Park's Drive', 'Choijung-hoon's Night Park', 'AKMU's Onalobam', 'Lee Hyori's Red Carpet', 'Zico's Artist', and 'Lee Young-ji's Rainbow'. The seventh season is hosted by actor Park Bo-gum. The program attempts a change by having an actor as the first MC, with deep music talks anticipated under the title 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile'.
The first guest of 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' was Noh Young-shim, who opened the doors to KBS's late-night music programs. Noh Young-shim met with viewers through 'Noh Young-shim's Small Concert' in 1991, and following this program, has continued the history of late-night music broadcasting on KBS with programs like 'Lee Moon-sae Show', 'Lee So-ra's Proposal', 'Yoon Do-hyun's Love Letter', 'Lee Hana's Peppermint', 'Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook', and now 'The Seasons'.
Park Bo-gum expressed a desire to have Noh Young-shim as a guest, leading to her surprise appearance. He noted, "It doesn't feel realistic. Watching from the back, I recalled when I was doing 'Small Concert'. When I was invited, I was so worried that I dreamed about it several times. The first dream was about being flustered meeting Park Bo-gum, the second dream was about someone moving and organizing my things for me, and from the third dream on, I began to feel at ease. I regretted not buying a lottery ticket at that time."
Park Bo-gum seemed to gain more comfort as he conversed with Noh Young-shim, showing a more relaxed demeanor. However, as a novice MC, he sought advice from his senior. Noh Young-shim advised, "Park Bo-gum is already enough as he is, but I hope he maintains his freshness. There will be unexpected situations while hosting, and there are times when the audience may get bored, so one needs to be able to swallow that and move on. I experienced moments of making mistakes because I didn't know how to act."
Park Bo-gum moved the audience by playing the piano with Noh Young-shim during 'On the Way to School'. He also showcased a stage performance of the drama 'Love Generation' OST 'No Matter How Much I Think About It, I Can't Help But Love You', conveying a moist emotional vibe.
