Singer Henny presented a reinterpretation of traditional Korean clothing.
Henny collaborated with the traditional and modern harmonizing hanbok brand "OUWR by Geumdanje" to unveil a new photo shoot, "Unveil your Colorfulness."
This photo shoot was conducted to modernly reinterpret the beauty of traditional Korean attire and promote Korean culture on a global stage.
"OUWR by Geumdanje" is a brand that reinterprets the elegance of traditional hanbok with a modern sensibility and has been gaining attention both domestically and internationally. Particularly, it gained global interest by producing the stage costumes for BLACKPINK's Coachella performance and providing hanbok for Kim Tae-ri’s Hanbok Wave.
OUWR's representative Jang Ha-eun noted, "Through this collaboration, we expect to further establish the brand's identity and expand the public perception of hanbok," adding, "The combination of the diverse appeal of hanbok and Ms. Henny was a very fitting match for the photo shoot."
The photo shoot involved Posh Studio, Art Genie Flower, and Seo's Hair Makeup.
In this photo shoot, Henny perfectly embodied the unique designs of "OUWR by Geumdanje," showcasing a refined visual that combines the inherent charm of hanbok with a modern sensibility.
Additionally, she expressed, "As I engage in overseas activities, there have been more opportunities to promote traditional Korean culture," adding, "I am delighted to be able to further publicize the excellence of hanbok through the collaboration with OUWR by Geumdanje."
Since releasing her new song "La Barbie" last July, Henny has continued active performances overseas in Angola, Gabon, and Myanmar, and she also appeared on stage wearing hanbok from "OUWR by Geumdanje" at the celebration performance for the "12th Choi Yeong-seok Cup International Taekwondo Tournament" held in Thailand on Feb. 8.
This photo shoot maximized the harmony of tradition and modernity that "OUWR by Geumdanje" pursues, once again proving the aesthetic value of hanbok and its potential as a global fashion item. The photo shoot will be released through online platforms.
Meanwhile, Henny is currently preparing for her tour in Vietnam, Myanmar, and Thailand scheduled for the end of March.
