Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side stated that they will "clarify the facts" in response to the ongoing revelations from the Korea Media Research Institute (가로세로연구소).
Gold Medalist, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, announced on the 13th, "Regarding the content related to Kim Soo-hyun that was broadcast by the Korea Media Research Institute, we will clarify the facts and address the baseless rumors with clear evidence next week."
They added, "We apologize for causing fatigue for a long time. We kindly ask for understanding as this is to prevent continued reporting."
Prior to this, the Korea Media Research Institute claimed, based on tips from the late Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family, that the deceased had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for over six years since she was 15 years old.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side stated that it was "clear falsehoods" and that they would consider the strongest legal action possible against the dissemination of false information by the Korea Media Research Institute.
In response to Kim Soo-hyun's rebuttal, the Korea Media Research Institute provided additional materials, including letters and postcards that are presumed to have been sent by Kim Soo-hyun to the late Kim Sae-ron, who was a high school student at the time, and a photo of them kissing on the cheek, intensifying the dating rumors. In the letters, Kim Soo-hyun mentioned military life, saying, "It's hard to see your face, but how do you feel, what is my will, and we shouldn't put pressure; the most I can say is, I miss you."
Kim Soo-hyun's side has drawn attention to their stance, as they have consistently maintained that it is "false information" and have firmly stated, "We will clarify the facts based on clear evidence," increasing curiosity about the content.
