Sunye's comments, a former member of Wonder Girls, are causing an unexpected debate. There was a difference in the temperature regarding Sunye's mention of a reunion.
On the 12th, during a special episode of MBC 'Radio Star' titled 'Unlimited Challenge,' singer Sunye grants her current activities while working alone without a manager.
During various talks, when Kim Gura asked, "What do you think about a reunion of the Wonder Girls?" Sunye responded, "It's not that everyone is unwilling. I think we could come together again if the right opportunity arises."
Previously, Sunye debuted as a member of the group Wonder Girls in 2007 and officially left the group in July 2015. She also married a missionary of Korean descent from Canada in 2013 and has three daughters.
Of course, it's not that she left the team solely because of her marriage, but it cannot be denied that marriage and pregnancy affected team activities. As a result, fans expressed mixed feelings, with some showing disappointment while others supported her future.
In relation to this, Sunye shared last year on the YouTube channel 'Jipdaesung' that, "I can't say I don't want to resolve misunderstandings, but when you consider any situation, there's no need to specifically try to clear misunderstandings; eventually, when the time comes, things will resolve themselves."
She particularly mentioned, "At first, I got married, left the team, and so Wonder Girls ended up this way. There were various misunderstandings, even though there was time left on the contract. But what was more important to me was that the members respected my decision."
Sunye also expressed her honest thoughts, saying, "And the members are doing well and actively living their lives; they are friends with determination and resolve, which makes me want to support them more. I think that's more important. Misunderstandings eventually get resolved when the time is right."
Meanwhile, Sunye made a comeback in 2021 with the tvN entertainment show 'Mom is an Idol,' bringing joy to fans. Since then, she has been actively working in musicals and various entertainment activities.
