Actor Kim Soo-hyun is caught up in additional revelations from 'Garo Sero Research Institute' regarding the late actor Kim Sae-ron, while his upcoming work 'Knock-Off' is expected to proceed as scheduled.
According to OSEN's coverage on the 12th, the new original series 'Knock-Off' on Disney+ is currently filming season 2 as planned. Additionally, preparations are underway for the first production presentation scheduled for next month. There have been no reported changes regarding the recent issues surrounding Kim Soo-hyun.
In relation to this, a source told OSEN, "The actors are currently filming on set as scheduled," adding that there are "no significant changes or alterations regarding the Kim Soo-hyun issue." They further noted that "the schedule for the production presentation has not been finalized."
'Knock-Off' depicts the story of a man whose life is completely turned upside down due to the IMF, as he transitions from an ordinary office worker to the ruler of the global counterfeit market. It was initially slated for release in the first half of this year following the currently released 'Hyper Knife'. As 'Knock-Off' is set to be divided into seasons 1 and 2, efforts have been intensified for the promotional schedule in preparation for the production presentation of 'Knock-Off' season 1 coming this April.
However, the emergence of the 'underage relationship suspicion' raised against Kim Soo-hyun by the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute has brought 'Knock-Off' into a new phase.
On the 10th, Garo Sero Research Institute released content titled 'Kim Soo-hyun led Kim Sae-ron's death (dating Kim Sae-ron since he was 16 for 6 years)', citing claims from relatives who identified themselves as Kim Sae-ron's aunt. Garo Sero criticized that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron for six years since she was a minor and had been with her agency, Gold Medalist, since its early establishment but distanced himself and demanded a large amount in damages in light of Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving controversy.
Despite being one-sided claims from Garo Sero, negative comments aimed at Kim Soo-hyun have poured in, with reactions stating, "We must continue to monitor the situation." Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, also sought to refute these claims. The agency stated, "These are clearly false facts," and asserted, "We will consider the strongest level of legal response."
Then on the 11th, Garo Sero released text messages and photos from the late actor's life, which included additional images of Kim Soo-hyun receiving a kiss from Kim Sae-ron, causing a stir.
However, in response to Garo Sero's one-sided additional claims, the agency stated, "Our official position remains unchanged from what we previously reported."
