Singer Jin Haeseong expressed his feelings about losing his grandmother during the competition of “King of Singers 2.”
On the afternoon of the 12th, a press conference for MBN “King of Singers 2″ was held at the International Conference Room of Nuri Dream Square Business Tower in Mapo District, Seoul. The TOP 7 of “King of Singers 2″—Park Seo-jin, Jin Haeseong, Enok, Shin Seung-tae, Choi Soo-ho, and Kang Moon-kyeong—attended and shared their thoughts. TOP 5 member Kim Jun-su was unable to attend due to a performance of a traditional opera.
“King of Singers 2″ is a survival entertainment program that selects the representative active singer from South Korea to participate in the “Korea-Japan King of Singers Competition” in 2025.
Earlier, Jin Haeseong chose the song "Time Flies" for the final, evoking strong emotions. After finishing as a runner-up, he remarked, "Our grandmother in heaven did not see the final stage, but I achieved a good result," and later, in front of the columbarium where his grandmother is, he expressed, "I believe I placed second thanks to my grandmother, and I will work harder," while shedding tears.
When asked what kind of stage he will show in the future, Jin Haeseong recalled that "In the first half, I sang a lot about love, and in the latter half, I sang songs about time. While singing 'Time Flies,' my heart felt heavy because my grandmother had passed away."
He added, "In fact, since everyone's thoughts on the songs they listen to are different, I plan to select songs with lyrics that can resonate with others. I am trying to sing many songs about time or life that everyone can relate to."
Meanwhile, “King of Singers 2″ concluded with a record-high national viewership rating of 13.9% on the 25th of last month.
