The thrilling moments of Seo Kang-joon and Jin Ki-joo are shaking up the home theater.
The MBC weekend drama 'Undercover High School' (planned by Namgung Seong-woo, written by Im Young-bin, directed by Choi Jeong-in, hereinafter 'Underschool') features the struggles of National Intelligence Service agent Jeong Hae-sung (played by Seo Kang-joon) who disguises himself as a high school student to find gold bullion, along with the comedic fun arising from incidents at the infirmary, making the drama even richer. Amidst this, the past connection between Jeong Hae-sung and Oh Soo-ah (played by Jin Ki-joo), who met as teacher and student, is surfacing, stirring the hearts of viewers.
First, when Hae-sung was injured on the mouth after being hit by Park Tae-soo (played by Jang Seong-beom) at the school violence committee site, Soo-ah applying medicine to his wound brought subtle excitement. Additionally, when Hae-sung leaned in to remove a petal stuck in Soo-ah's hair, her heart fluttered as she quickly ran away, signaling the start of their 'cute chemistry.'
Notably, the kiss scene between Hae-sung and Soo-ah in episode 4 was a hot topic. Soo-ah, visiting Hae-sung who was absent due to illness, accidentally stepped on a massage ball and fell right on top of Hae-sung, leading to their unexpected first kiss. This scene genuinely captivated viewers' hearts.
After Soo-ah discovered Hae-sung's true identity, their relationship deepened. Hae-sung worried it could be dangerous if Soo-ah was present at the scene of the security guard Mr. Kim's (played by Koo Min-hyuk) death. Then, when Soo-ah held Hae-sung's hand and said, "I will definitely protect you," her cheeks turned red and she became shy. Their playful bickering also made viewers smile.
At the end of episode 6, the impressive umbrella scene also tickled viewers' hearts. The two, leaving Soo-ah's mother's shop, ended up sharing one umbrella, and when a motorcycle passed by, Hae-sung pulled Soo-ah close. Additionally, when Soo-ah's mother referred to her as "Bong-ja," Hae-sung smiled as he recalled childhood memories, intensifying the excitement and raising interest in the future changes of their relationship.

Meanwhile, 'Undercover High School' ranked first in TV topicality for drama and non-drama combined on the 1st week of March, according to FUNdex, an official platform of Good Data Corporation, which specializes in K-content competitiveness, achieving the top spot for three consecutive weeks. It also came in second place in the TV-OTT combined topicality, while Seo Kang-joon has maintained first place in TV-drama cast topicality for three weeks in a row, keeping his popularity soaring.
