The main poster for the drama 'Heosikdang', which warns viewers to watch on an empty stomach, has been released.
The new drama 'Heosikdang' (directed by Oh Hwan-min, Kim Kyung-eun, written by Seong So-hyeon) tells the story of Heo Gyun, a problematic figure from the Joseon Dynasty, who accidentally runs a restaurant after time traveling to the present day 400 years later. It is based on the web novel of the same name by Jeon Seon-young.
The group main poster released today (12th) features the four main cast members who will be involved with 'Heosikdang': EXO's Xiumin (playing Heo Gyun), Chu So-jung (playing Bong Eun-sil), Lee Se-eon (playing Lee Yi-choem/Lee Hyeok), and Lee Su-min (playing Mae-chang/Jeong Mi-sol).
Xiumin, who plays Heo Gyun, a character that time slips from the Joseon Dynasty to the present day, is positioned in the center of the poster, holding a ladle while dressed in traditional Korean attire. The contrasting image of modern cooking tools and traditional Joseon clothing succinctly portrays Heo Gyun's time slip narrative, adding to the intrigue.
Chu So-jung, playing Bong Eun-sil, the daughter of a restaurant owner who will manage 'Heosikdang' with Heo Gyun, stands beside him with an excited smile. In contrast, Lee Se-eon, portraying Lee Hyeok, the restaurant chef aiming for 'Heosikdang', crosses his arms and gazes directly ahead, creating a subtle tension. Lee Su-min, playing Jeong Mi-sol, a CF star with a hidden secret, also stands beside Heo Gyun with an aloof expression, raising curiosity about how they will influence each other, and what intriguing episodes will arise from their encounters.
Along with phrases such as "Welcome! This is the popular restaurant Heosikdang!", "Warning: Watch on an empty stomach", and "Please stand in line!", images reminiscent of restaurant flyers and menus blend together, promising a five-star narrative. Moreover, it is said that a feast of delightful dishes will unfold in Heo Gyun's exciting journey of adapting to modern life, creating anticipation for the birth of a delicious drama.
In this regard, the production team noted, "We tried to convey a friendly and happy sentiment through the image of the restaurant's promotional flyer," and requested, "Please show much interest in the exciting stories of the four characters set against the backdrop of 'Heosikdang'."
