The group BOYNEXTDOOR has lifted a valuable trophy at the Japan Gold Disc Grand Award.

BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Riu, Myeongjaehyeon, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak) won the 'Best 3 New Artist' in the Asian institutional sector at the '39th Japan Gold Disc Grand Award', as announced by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on the 12th. This is the first time they have received an award at this ceremony, clearly illustrating their rising trend in the local scene.

BOYNEXTDOOR noted, "It is truly an honor to receive an award that one can only get once in a lifetime. We will treasure it for a long time and take pride in it. We will strive to grow even more as artists and repay everyone's love."

The Japan Gold Disc Grand Award, which began in 1987, is a ceremony that honors artists and works that contributed to the development of the record industry over the year, as selected by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The winners and awarded works are determined based on sales performance of CDs, music videos, and other releases over the year, as well as music streaming revenue and the number of streaming plays.

BOYNEXTDOOR is gaining significant popularity in Japan. Before their official debut in the local market, they were picked as cover models for popular magazines and invited to various major festivals. Their Japanese debut single 'AND,' launched last year, surpassed 250,000 copies in shipments in the month of its release, earning 'platinum' certification for the Gold Disc (as of July 2024). The digital single 'I LOVE YOU Only Today,' released in January, ranked 14th on the Billboard Japan 'Streaming Songs' chart (counting period: Jan. 13-19), achieving the best record for a fifth-generation K-pop boy group. Their solo tour 'BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1,'' held across six cities in Japan, sold out all 12 performances as soon as ticket sales began.

Following the successful completion of their recent tour in Japan, BOYNEXTDOOR will embark on performances in six Asian cities. The journey will conclude in Jakarta on the 12th, after stops in Singapore on the 15th, Manila on the 22nd, Bangkok on the 29th, Taipei on April 3rd, and Hong Kong on the 6th.
