Actress So Yoo-jin expressed her thoughts on returning to acting in 'The Country of Villains.'

A production presentation for the new KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The Country of Villains' (written by Chae Woo and Park Kwang-yeon, directed by Kim Young-jo and Choi Jeong-eun) was held on the afternoon of the 12th at the Stanford Hotel located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. At this event, actors Oh Na-ra, So Yoo-jin, Seo Hyun-cheol, Song Jin-woo, Park Young-kyu, and Choi Ye-na attended and discussed the work.

'The Country of Villains' is a situational comedy drama that captures the sometimes rough and sometimes warm daily lives of K-Zoomer sisters and a family full of quirks. Actors Oh Na-ra and So Yoo-jin play the villainous K-Zoomer sisters, while Seo Hyun-cheol and Song Jin-woo portray their husbands. Through this, Oh Na-ra and So Yoo-jin reconnect with viewers through acting after a long time. Oh Na-ra last appeared in 'Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow,' which concluded in 2023, and So Yoo-jin returns to acting after 2 years since the broadcast of 'Lover' in the same year.

In particular, So Yoo-jin made a brief appearance in 'Lover' as So-yong Jo and left a strong impression, also making a special appearance in TVING's 'Cruel Intern.' With 'The Country of Villains,' she is set to showcase her full-fledged acting for the first time in 6 years since 'My Love Healing,' which ended in 2019.

So Yoo-jin, who is married to Baek Jong-won, the CEO of Theborn Korea, and has given birth to three children, two daughters and one son, noted, "Recently, my daughters have been asking, 'Mom, do you know 'Pure Love Family'?', 'Do you know 'High Kick Without Hesitation'?' They said that their friends are watching it on YouTube. When I thought that the trend was coming back, I was delighted to participate in a way that not only my children but the whole family could watch again when I got the role as the sitcom miraculously makes a comeback."

She continued, "Our filming site is really happy. I am participating with the thought that we can share joy with the viewers. We are filming so that those who have nothing to smile about can enjoy watching 'The Country of Villains.'"

'The Country of Villains' will premiere on the 19th at 9:50 p.m. and will air on the same time every Wednesday and Thursday thereafter.
