The comedian Cho Sae-ho's impersonation scene mimicking the late singer Wheesung's singing style will be edited out of 'Good Day.'
On the 12th, a representative from the MBC entertainment program 'Good Day' said to OSEN, "Cho Sae-ho's impersonation scene of the deceased will not appear in the main broadcast. The scene has already been edited out in the previously released preview."
The 'Good Day' representative explained, "The preview containing that scene is for the first preview of episode 5, which will air on the 16th, and was released prior to the announcement of the death of the deceased. However, upon receiving the bad news, the production team decided to edit that scene out of the preview and also remove it from the main broadcast." In the previously released first preview of 'Good Day' episode 5, Big Bang's G-Dragon is seen visiting a karaoke place with Cho Sae-ho, his close friend from the entertainment industry, along with actors Kim Goeun and Jung Haein. Among them, Cho Sae-ho chose Wheesung's hit song "Can't I?" and humorously imitated Wheesung's unique singing style.
However, at around 6:29 p.m. on the 10th, Wheesung was found in a state of cardiac arrest in an apartment located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Paramedics who arrived on the scene attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but he was ultimately pronounced dead. He was 43 years old.
Given this bad news, the 'Good Day' production team decided to edit the scene out, considering the shocking situation. Cho Sae-ho had maintained a close friendship with Wheesung for a long time, sharing laughter in the entertainment industry with his impersonations of Wheesung.
Meanwhile, Wheesung's funeral will be held at Samsung Medical Center on the 14th. The funeral will take place on the 16th, and the burial site will be Gwangneung Memorial Park.
