Photos of actor Kim Soo-hyun visiting the late actress Kim Sae-ron have surfaced, causing shock despite Kim Soo-hyun denying the dating rumors as 'groundless.' The agency, which had announced a strong legal response, has not quickly issued a rebuttal, raising voices seeking clarification.
On the evening of the 11th, the YouTube channel 'Garo-Seoro Research Institute' (abbreviated as Ga-Se-yeon) disclosed a large number of records, including communications with Kim Sae-ron's family, as well as texts and mobile messages from the deceased. These records drew attention as they contained information indicating that Kim Sae-ron had a romantic relationship with Kim Soo-hyun in the past.
The photos that attracted the most attention were the two shots of Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun. Notably, Kim Soo-hyun is seen kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek in the image, drawing focus. Furthermore, the 'Ga-Se-yeon' side emphasized that Kim Sae-ron was only 16 years old and a minor in the 3rd year of middle school at the time.
Moreover, A, who is claimed to be Kim Sae-ron's aunt, asserted that the photos were taken on the same day as a selfie with Kim Soo-hyun, which was shared on Kim Sae-ron's personal social media last year and later deleted, causing dating rumors. This contradicts the agency Gold Medalist's strong denial of the past dating rumors between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron, stating they were 'groundless.'
The messages released included Kim Sae-ron's heartfelt pleas directed at Kim Soo-hyun. In a text sent on March 19 of last year, Kim Sae-ron mentioned a dispute with her agency, Gold Medalist.
In the text, Kim Sae-ron said, "Oppa, it's Sae-ron. I've received a notice of content. They're saying they're going to sue," and added, "They said they'd give me enough time, so I'm preparing hard to return and I will repay little by little in each project." She pleaded, "I'm not refusing to pay, but if they demand 700 million won right away, I really can't do it. It's not that I won't, I can't, so does it really have to go to a lawsuit?" Then she continued, "Please save me. I'm begging you. Give me time."
Kim Sae-ron reportedly completed her exclusive contract with Gold Medalist in November 2022, entering into a loan contract for approximately 700 million won. This was related to the agency covering the compensation for Kim Sae-ron's drink-driving incident that caused controversy in May of that year. The repayment deadline was set for December of the following year, but Kim Sae-ron, who claimed financial hardship, was unable to resume her activities properly and thus reached out to Kim Soo-hyun, a founding member of Gold Medalist, through her family's contact information.
Regarding this, the 'Ga-Se-yeon' side criticized Kim Soo-hyun, claiming he 'cut ties' with Kim Sae-ron through the agency. They stated that despite Kim Soo-hyun receiving several million won per episode as a top star in dramas, he harshly turned his back on Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, accusing him of grooming sexual crimes.
However, before the additional revelations from 'Ga-Se-yeon' on the 10th, Gold Medalist distributed an official statement to deny all related allegations against Kim Soo-hyun. They strongly refuted, calling it 'a clear falsehood,' and stated, 'We plan to consider the strongest level of legal response,' indicating a fight over the truth.
In the statement at the time, Gold Medalist expressed deep sorrow over the death of Kim Sae-ron, who had previously been part of the agency, and stated they mourn the deceased. They added that 'the dissemination of such falsehoods by Ga-Se-yeon is nothing more than a repetition of the so-called cyber bullying behavior that the deceased struggled with during her life.' They earnestly requested that lies with no value should not be spread, expanded, or reproduced any further.
However, Gold Medalist avoided giving an immediate response to the additional revelations, including photos and messages from 'Ga-Se-yeon.' Coincidentally, Kim Soo-hyun's upcoming project, the Disney+ original series 'Knock Off,' has not yet completed filming, and discussions are ongoing about a production announcement for Part 1 in April. Attention is focused on how Kim Soo-hyun will respond to the privacy attacks from 'Ga-Se-yeon,' which is bolstered by statements from Kim Sae-ron's family.
