Singer Ali paid tribute to Wheesung.
On the 12th, Ali posted on her SNS the lyrics of the song 'Island,' written by Wheesung, starting with "I can't believe it, but I have to send you off…"
She continued, "The brother I met recently shone so brightly," saying, "With the mindset of starting anew, he changed his number again."
She reminisced, "His Daegu tele-concert was my first chorus stage. Was it because of that connection, or was it a sense of responsibility, that he supported, advised, and cheered for my music in visible ways, as well as expressing concern in invisible ways?" She added, "His back was the first beginning of my dreams. He was not a lonely being like an island, but a star that shone not only for himself but to brighten others as well," mourning the deceased.
"I only remember the brother who was full of passion during our recent meeting… I'll think a lot about you while looking at the sky," she added.
In the photo shared, a conversation between Ali and Wheesung is captured. They exchange warm greetings, wishing each other a Happy New Year.
Meanwhile, on the 12th, Wheesung's agency TAJOYENT told OSEN, "What the police announced is correct," conveying that the initial autopsy findings indicated 'cause of death unknown.'
According to police, the National Forensic Service communicated the initial verbal findings of 'cause of death unknown' regarding Wheesung's autopsy results. Wheesung's side has requested a detailed examination to confirm any drug use, with results expected in about two more weeks.
Wheesung was found dead in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul on the 10th, and he was pronounced dead at the age of 43.
According to the agency, while the funeral procedures were planned to be held quietly by just the family due to concerns about Wheesung's mother's health, the bereaved family decided, after much thought, to arrange a memorial time with many who remembered and loved Wheesung.
Meanwhile, Wheesung debuted in January 2002 with his first album 'Like A Movie.' He released hit songs such as 'Is It Not?' 'In A Year,' 'Insomnia,' 'I Already Thought Of Marriage,' 'Heart-Wrenching Story,' 'The Day We Meet Again,' and 'Love Is Delicious.'
