In 'Can we love now?', Kang Ye-won shared her honest thoughts on dating and marriage while exchanging contact information with a suitor, showing signs of romance.
On the broadcast of tvN's story 'Can we love now?' on the 10th, Kang Ye-won candidly spoke about her views on dating.
That day, while on a street date in Seongsu-dong with her suitor, Kim Sang-hoon, a radiation technician, Kim Sang-hoon asked if she had ever made a move on someone she liked. Kang Ye-won laughed and said, "I did once a long time ago, in middle school," adding, "I made a move on my first love. I wrote a letter and waited in front of the karaoke room on a rainy day, but they didn't show up. Since that sadness, I haven't made a move on a man." Kang Ye-won, who noted that she hadn't done so since becoming an adult, said, "I didn’t have the courage because I was afraid of getting hurt."
Kang Ye-won also said, "I developed a goal to show my parents a good family while they were still alive," and confessed, "Especially when it comes to meeting the opposite sex, I feel it’s something I have to work on. To me, love was a second priority," adding, "I think making an effort in meeting leads to connections." Kang Ye-won mentioned, "Now, love is my priority," and Kim Sang-hoon showed a proactive attitude, saying, "It's the year of love."
As their date continued, the suitor asked, "Is there anyone you’ve thought about marrying?" Curious, Kang Ye-won responded, "I’ve never met someone without imagining marriage; I think about it every time." The suitor agreed, saying, "I feel the same way." When he asked, "If you were to get married, when would you want to?" the suitor replied, "I could marry in 1-2 years."
Kang Ye-won hesitated, saying, "If the heart is moved, marriage..." The suitor asked, "Even after dating for three months?" Kang Ye-won responded, "That’s surprising (to consider marrying after just three months); who knows about relationships?" The suitor expressed, "It would be great if we spark and get married and live well," to which Kang Ye-won replied, "That kind of intense love is interesting and amazing." The suitor then playfully asked, "Do I need to knock for three months? I hope the door opens soon."
In particular, the two were continuously building rapport and moved to a cocktail bar, taking selfies and spending special time together. Using the excuse of sending photos, Kim Sang-hoon asked Kang Ye-won for her phone number. In response, Kang Ye-won saved the suitor's contact information while saying, "It's been so long since I've exchanged contact info, it’s exciting!" She added, "If we communicate, we should also ask each other how we're doing; I also really wanted to take a step closer and keep things open." The suitor replied, "I’m satisfied to have your contact information. I’ll reach out to see if you got home safely."
