Former AOA member Kwon Min-ah participated in a national petition requesting sanctions against a YouTuber who exposed her private life.

On the 11th, Kwon Min-ah uploaded a photo on her social account without any particular comment.

The photo included the message, "The consent process has been completed regarding the petition for 'strong sanctions at the National Assembly level to prevent damages such as the suicides of entertainers caused by the activities of entertainment specialized journalists on YouTube.'"

The petition was registered last month following the death of actor late Kim Sae-ron and condemned the situation where entertainers, including Kim Sae-ron, are suffering due to the private life exposure by a YouTuber who is a former entertainment reporter. It also urged, "YouTube and the basic qualification criteria for YouTubers need to be established, and precise regulations concerning the videos and stories they broadcast, as well as standards akin to those of existing media, should be developed."

Kwon Min-ah, shortly after the announcement of Kim Sae-ron's obituary, also posted a message stating, "I don't know you at all, so I'm cautious, but honestly, as someone who has been mistreated in the past, it disgusts me when people speak as if they know everything. The videos that brainwash people into thinking that the false facts are facts, I couldn't even watch them all and turned them off."

She said, "At that time, I was so scared of you that I couldn't say anything, and I cried and got hurt. Honestly, I thought I was mentally losing it. After enduring it for so long, I am angry again after seeing this incident and writing this. While there may be facts that you're sharing, it seems that many people are also suffering, so please be cautious and consider the other person's position instead of prioritizing view count."

Amid this, following the emergence of new claims regarding late Kim Sae-ron's death and the news of singer late Wheesung's passing, it appears that she raised her voice by joining the national petition.

Meanwhile, Kwon Min-ah recently announced a new start as the head of a dermatology consultation room. She noted, "Everyone asks about my activities in the entertainment industry and YouTube, but I’m in positive discussions with my agency concerning activities related to hashtags ENM and live streaming or YouTube," implying possibilities for her return to the entertainment industry.
