The mourning continues for singer Wheesung (43, real name Choi Wheesung), who suddenly passed away before the concert.
According to the city of Daegu on the 11th, the joint concert 'The Story' featuring Wheesung and KCM, scheduled for the 15th at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium, has been canceled. A representative from KCM's agency, A2Z Entertainment, expressed regret after being notified of the cancellation by the concert organizers.
A music industry official who had previously worked with Wheesung said, "When we met at the end of last year, he was determined to discuss a new agency and his willingness to work. He was preparing for the concert while losing weight, and now I feel very sad and shocked."
On the 6th, Wheesung posted on his Instagram, "Diet end, see you on March 15," expressing anticipation for the concert. Colleagues in the music industry are mourning after learning of Wheesung's sudden death. Yoon Minsoo from the group 'Vibe' wrote on social media, "Wheesung, let's sing and make music freely there. I won't forget your clarity and purity. Let's meet again later and sing together."
Rapper Paloalto noted, "He was a singer with many memories from my twenties, having even gone to my first concert after his first album. Rapper Haengjoo left a comment on Wheesung's Instagram saying, "My heart hurts so much. Rest in peace in the sky."
Wheesung was found dead around 6:29 p.m. on the 10th in an APT. in Gwangjin District, Seoul. His agency, TAJOYENT, stated, "Wheesung was found in a state of cardiac arrest at home and was pronounced dead," adding, "Everyone at TAJOYENT, including his family, is mourning the loss with deep sorrow."
He debuted in 2002 with 'Is It Not Okay?' and gained immense popularity with songs like 'With Me,' 'The Day We Meet Again,' 'Incurable Disease,' and 'I Even Thought of Marriage.'
