Actor Yoon Chan-young expressed his feelings about working with senior actors such as Seol Kyung-gu and Park Eun-bin in "Hyperknife."
On the morning of the 11th, Yoon Chan-young appeared as a guest on SBS Radio "Park Ha-sun's Cine Town (abbreviated as Cine Town)."
Yoon Chan-young is involved in the Disney+ new original series "Hyperknife." Accordingly, he talked to the "Cine Town" listeners about his updates and work in line with host and senior actor DJ Park Ha-sun.
"Hyperknife" is a medical thriller drama that depicts a fierce confrontation as the once-promising genius doctor Seo-ok (played by Park Eun-bin) reunites with her teacher Deok-hee (played by Seol Kyung-gu), who caused her downfall. It will be released in an eight-part series on Disney+ starting from the 19th.
In particular, the drama is generating anticipation as it is a series featuring Park Eun-bin. Regarding Park Eun-bin, who is also a former child actor, Yoon Chan-young noted, "I had a brief special appearance in the drama 'Do You Like Brahms?' At that time, I greeted sister Park Eun-bin once in passing. Since she has been acting for a long time, there was a lot to learn from her."
He also emphasized, "After the last shooting, I told her that through sister Eun-bin, I could clarify my standards for what is more right or wrong while breathing beside her. Both on and off camera as well as when being present, the aspects of being an actor were very impressive. I was able to shoot very happily. So, 'Hyperknife' has become a special work for me."
Regarding another senior actor Seol Kyung-gu, Yoon Chan-young said, "Seol sunbae (senior) was very warm on set, joking a lot, and always created an atmosphere that allowed us to shoot while smiling, for which I am very grateful. Since he is a senior I deeply respect, I was thankful just to be able to see him on set."
He said, "Every scene does not just flow by. I would appreciate it if you could pay close attention to all of them, but if I have to pick one, since I play the role of Deputy Minister Seo, I hope you will focus on the relationship and chemistry between Seo-ok and Deputy Minister Seo." He also mentioned the viewing pattern of "Hyperknife," which airs twice a week, noting, "I also enjoy binge-watching, so I recommend watching it while it's still hot with the continuous events each week."
In conclusion, Yoon Chan-young stated, "Our drama has fun and emotional points and has a lot of intense elements as well. Please look forward to it. Once it's out, I hope it receives a lot of love."
