Broadcaster Ahn Young-mi shed tears during a live radio broadcast.
On the 11th, MBC Radio FM4U 'Dating with Ahn Young-mi' featured singer Hwang Ga-ram and the girl group Young-Pass as guests who shared stories.
On that day, Ahn Young-mi mentioned Hwang Ga-ram's song 'I Am a Firefly,' saying, "When I heard this song last year, I thought, 'It’s my song.' Everyone must have felt the same way."
She continued, "When I was young, I lived with a sense of confidence that I achieved something, to the extent that I thought, 'What kind of confidence do you have?' Over time, I got married and had a child, and I gradually returned to being Ahn Young-mi. As I returned to being Ahn Young-mi, I realized, 'I was too arrogant.'"
Suddenly tearing up, Ahn Young-mi said, "I’m sorry. I drank too much Americano on an empty stomach, so it’s the caffeine. I suddenly got emotional."
Previously, in November of last year, Ahn Young-mi faced criticism from netizens due to a live broadcast slip-up during 'Dating with Ahn Young-mi.' At that time, guests included GOT7's Young-jae and The Boyz's Sun-woo, and Ahn Young-mi asked them, "What do you do when I ask you to do impressions during the radio broadcast? Do you say, 'I don’t want to'?"
Sun-woo replied, "On ‘Idol Radio,’ there are fans outside who always write what they want us to do on a sketchbook. So even during breaks, we have to do everything." To this, Ahn Young-mi countered, "And do you turn around and say 'F***'?" The sudden profanity surprised Young-jae and Sun-woo.
After the controversy arose, Ahn Young-mi ultimately apologized on the broadcast, saying, "Yesterday, I think there were those who were surprised because I used inappropriate language during the broadcast," adding, "I want to take this time to say sorry."
