Actor Park Bo-gum showed enthusiasm for hosting 'Cantabile.'
On the 11th, a production briefing for KBS2's 'The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' was held at the KBS Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by KBS announcer Lee Ye-won and attended by MC Park Bo-gum, bandmaster Jung Dong-hwan, producer Choi Seung-hee, producer Son Ja-yeon, and producer Choi Ji-na.
'The Seasons' is KBS's first late-night music program to adopt a seasonal format, starting with 'Jay Park's Drive' in February 2023, followed by 'Choi Jeong-hoon's Night Park,' 'AKMU's ONAL O'BAM,' 'Lee Hyori's Red Carpet,' 'Zico's Artist,' and 'Lee Young-ji's Rainbow.' Each MC, having different genres and styles, has served as a bridge between musicians and the audience.
The protagonist of the 7th season is revealed to be 'the first-ever actor,' Park Bo-gum, while last season's MC, Lee Young-ji, noted, "The MC of 'The Seasons' must dance to aespa's 'Supernova.' I hope you practice before coming."
In response, Park Bo-gum said, "Young-ji has told me before on another show, 'Bo-gum, you are a KUKBO.' Thank you so much for your support," adding, "Should we try dancing to aespa's 'Supernova' now?" which drew laughter.
He continued, "I'm not as good at dancing as Young-ji, so I feel a bit lacking in that area. I think I should get some training from Young-ji later," he laughed.
Park Bo-gum also mentioned, "I feel that I still lack the depth and experience of the MCs who have previously hosted wonderful guests. Nonetheless, the reason I wanted to do this is that I thought I wouldn't have another chance to promote K-pop. And I had a strong desire to show a bit more of myself to the viewers and fans. I'm happy to have the opportunity to show my face more to viewers, from the recently released Netflix 'My Name is Not a Ghost' to 'Cantabile.'"
