The broadcaster Pungja shared memories related to her favorite restaurant.
On the broadcast of MBC 'Save Me! Homes' airing on Thursday, Nov. 13, broadcaster Pungja, Park Na-rae, and Joo Woo-jae will go on a field trip to Hannam-dong.
On this day’s broadcast, Park Na-rae and broadcaster Pungja, who have lived in Hannam-dong and Itaewon-dong for a long time, will head to the center of Seoul, Hannam-dong in Yongsan-gu. And urban planning expert Professor Jeong Seok will join the studio to discuss the history of Hannam-dong that we did not know.
Before the main field trip, the KODI who appeared in the studio warmly welcomed Pungja while revealing the behind-the-scenes of the casting. Yang Se-chan noted, "I heard that when the production team called for casting, as soon as they heard 'Homes,' they shouted, 'No way! That place is hell~.'" In response, Pungja confessed, "Last time, I was mentally broken from the ‘Island Field Trip.’ I was exposed to too much sea breeze and have suffered deep aftereffects."
Urban planning expert Professor Jeong Seok explained why Hannam-dong is the center of Seoul, saying, "It is located between the Han River and Namsan, and that's why it’s called Hannam-dong." He also explained, "Some areas of Hannam-dong are undergoing redevelopment. Development is underway by dividing the area including Itaewon-dong, Bogwang-dong, and Hannam-dong into districts, and the progress in District 3, which includes Hannam-dong, is the fastest."
At the opening location where Park Na-rae, Pungja, and Joo Woo-jae gathered for the field trip to Hannam-dong, the KODI in the studio raised the anticipation for today’s field trip, saying, "From their appearance, they overwhelm us," and "All three have such distinct characters." Joo Woo-jae made everyone laugh by saying, "If there are Jin, Sun, and Mi in Miss Korea, we feel like Jot, Line, and Surface."
Park Na-rae introduced Hannam-dong as a truly charming and fun neighborhood, saying, "I lived in Hannam-dong and then moved to Itaewon-dong. I have lived here for a total of 7 years." In response, Pungja also revealed, "I lived in Itaewon-dong for 7 years, and currently, I have been living in Hannam-dong for 2 years."
The three begin their field trip to the Hannam New Town District 3, where redevelopment is underway. It is said that over 90% of residents and merchants have already moved out. While walking through the empty street, Pungja discovered a closed store and identified it as her favorite, saying, "This alley was my 20s, and it’s so regrettable," raising curiosity about which store it is for the actual broadcast.
Next, the three visit a famous record shop, known as the holy land of Hannam-dong vinyl (LP). While looking at a closed store, Joo Woo-jae said, "Many singers have done poster shoots here," and took out a camera for Park Na-rae and Pungja. When the photos taken on-site were revealed in the studio, the KODI of 'Homes' were said to have expressed their admiration for Joo Woo-jae's high-level photography skills, causing excitement.
The Hannam-dong emotional field trip will be revealed on MBC 'Save Me! Homes' on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 10 p.m.
