Netflix has released character stills from director Yeon Sang-ho's film 'Revelation.'

The Netflix film 'Revelation,' which depicts the story of a pastor who believes that punishing the culprit behind a missing person case is a revelation from God, and a detective who is tormented by the ghost of a dead younger sibling, showcases character stills of actors Ryu Jun-yeol, Shin Hyun-bin, and Shin Min-jae, who display overwhelming acting prowess and perfect character synchronization.

The released stills capture the tense moments surrounding the case of the missing child who has vanished without a trace, showcasing the conflicting paths of Pastor Sung Min-chan (Ryu Jun-yeol), Detective Lee Yeon-hee (Shin Hyun-bin), and the suspect, ex-convict Kwon Yang-rae (Shin Min-jae), who are each pursuing their own beliefs.

First, the scene of Pastor Sung Min-chan peacefully singing with churchgoers evokes the calm before the storm, stirring curiosity about the revelation he will soon encounter. Additionally, his face, which captures attention with a trembling gaze and an anxious demeanor as he talks on the phone, raises curiosity about the changes he may experience amidst the altered atmosphere. Detective Lee Yeon-hee, tormented by the ghost of her dead younger sibling and unable to escape the guilt of her past, is portrayed by Shin Hyun-bin with an empty and desolate face unlike anything seen before.

In particular, Shin Hyun-bin's attempt at a different short haircut generates interest in the unique transformation she will showcase, drawing attention. Kwon Yang-rae's expression, staring blankly at something, amplifies the chilling tension associated with him being a prime suspect in the missing person case. The distinctive performance of Shin Min-jae, who perfectly embodies Kwon Yang-rae, who possesses both eeriness and secrecy, stands out as a must-watch point in 'Revelation.'

Ryu Jun-yeol stated, “I aimed to express the desires and ambitions at the very bottom of human existence to portray the complex emotions within.” He focused on the intricate inner waves that change constantly in front of the revelation and belief as a pastor, completing a fresh character different from the original Sung Min-chan. Shin Hyun-bin, who carefully crafted the character of Lee Yeon-hee, which is dry and apathetic yet occasionally showcases strength, noted, “I put considerable effort into balancing the multifaceted nature of the character so it could appear harmoniously,” raising interest in her unique charm through thorough character analysis.

Shin Min-jae, who is collaborating with director Yeon Sang-ho for the fourth time in this work, remarked, “I felt a deep interest in a character I had never played before and put a lot of effort into enhancing Kwon Yang-rae's traits in appearance to make a strong impact just by appearing,” sparking curiosity about his new face and dynamic performance.

Lastly, director Yeon Sang-ho of 'Revelation' emphasized, “The actors' performances were more important than in any other work. The goal of directing was to allow each actor to express everything about the character they prepared,” increasing anticipation for the breathtaking chemistry that the three actors will create.

The solid story created in collaboration with writer Choi Gyu-seok, following 'Hell,' along with cooperation with executive producer Alfonso Cuarón, and the explosive performances of Ryu Jun-yeol, Shin Hyun-bin, and Shin Min-jae, complete director Yeon Sang-ho's film 'Revelation,' which will be released worldwide on March 21 (Friday) via Netflix.
