Actor Kim Soo-hyun firmly refuted claims made by a YouTube channel regarding his relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, calling it 'false information.'
On the 10th, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, said, 'The content claimed in the YouTube broadcast by the Garoseoro Research Institute related to Kim Soo-hyun is clearly false information.' They added, 'The Garoseoro Research Institute claims that Kim Soo-hyun colluded with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho to harass Kim Sae-ron.'
'They also made many malicious claims about our agency and Kim Soo-hyun, including that Kim Sae-ron dated Kim Soo-hyun from the age of 15, that the agency's response to Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving accident was inappropriate, and that the agency's manager has ties to YouTuber Lee Jin-ho,' they said, noting, 'These are all false information that cannot be overlooked, and our agency is reviewing the strongest legal actions available against the false information dissemination by the Garoseoro Research Institute.'
Kim Soo-hyun's side stated, 'We feel heartbroken by the news of the passing of actress Kim Sae-ron, who once worked with us, and we mourn her. However, the false information dissemination by the Garoseoro Research Institute mimics the behavior of so-called 'cyber bullying' that the late Kim struggled with during her life, harming not only our agency's interests but also the honor of the deceased. We will respond sternly to this.' They concluded, 'We sincerely request that such baseless false information is no longer disseminated or amplified.'
Earlier, the Garoseoro Research Institute released a video titled 'Kim Soo-hyun led to Kim Sae-ron's death' on their YouTube channel. Kim Se-ui, the representative of the Garoseoro Research Institute, claimed in a phone interview with Kim Sae-ron's family that she had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for six years since she was a minor and that Gold Medalist sent a formal notice demanding the return of 700 million won related to the handling of a drunk driving accident.
