Singer KCM expressed his feelings about the passing of fellow singer, the late Whee-sung, with whom he had planned a joint performance.
Previously, KCM had shared a photo of the concert poster on his personal social media, saying, "#kcm #Whee-sung Let's go #Main job loaded." The concert was scheduled to take place on the 15th at 6 p.m. at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium, featuring a joint concert 'The Story.'
The late singer also expressed excitement about meeting fans on the 6th, saying on his personal social media, "Diet's over, see you on March 15." However, a sudden tragic news came in five days before the concert, on the 10th.
Whee-sung was found unconscious at around 6:29 p.m. at his home in an APT. located in Gwangjin District, Seoul. The fire department, which was alerted by his family, performed emergency procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but it was reported that he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ultimately, the joint concert between the two was canceled. On the same day in the afternoon, a representative from KCM's agency, A2Z Entertainment, told OSEN, "KCM and Whee-sung were supposed to hold a joint concert in the province on the 15th, but I heard the news of Whee-sung's passing today," adding, "The joint concert was not planned as a duet stage for the two singers separately, but rather was designed as one hour for Whee-sung and one hour for KCM." They noted, "After the tragic news was delivered, we ultimately heard from the concert planning company about the decision to cancel the concert," and expressed their condolences.
Later, on the 11th, KCM also shared his feelings for the first time on his personal social media account. KCM said, "Let's meet on March 15... I'm sorry, Seong-a..." He also drew attention by posting a notice on his personal story about the sashimi restaurant currently operating in Jeju, saying, "We're closed today. Please keep this in mind when visiting."
In response, netizens also mourned, saying, "I thought it was a fake news," "I wanted to see the two of them singing together...", and "I still can't believe it, my condolences to the deceased."
