The members Handong, Dami, and Gahyeon of the group Dreamcatcher have decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with their agency as they expire.
On the 10th, Dreamcatcher's agency, Dreamcatcher Company, stated, "The exclusive contracts of our artists, the members of Dreamcatcher—Handong, Dami, and Gahyeon—are set to expire on March 31, 2025."
It added, "After a long period of in-depth discussion and consideration, we, Dreamcatcher Company, along with Handong, Dami, and Gahyeon, have decided, respecting each other's opinions and in mutual agreement, not to sign a renewal contract. Although our relationship with them will conclude, we have decided to continue group activities as 'Dreamcatcher' based on affection and deep trust for the group."
Additionally, it conveyed, "We express our gratitude to Handong, Dami, and Gahyeon for their best efforts during all their activities at Dreamcatcher Company over the past eight years and will sincerely support their future activities. We also thank the fans for their unwavering love and support always by our side."
Lastly, it noted, "We will also actively strive this year to provide Jiyu, Sua, Siyun, and Yuhyun with diverse opportunities to participate in activities. Jiyu, Sua, and Yuhyun will showcase their new appearances through unit activities, while Siyun will engage in band activities. We kindly ask for much interest, love, and strong support for the unit and band activities, as well as for Handong, Dami, and Gahyeon, who will embark on a new leap."
