Actor Koo Bon-seung has revived his appearance after receiving fillers. Previously, due to side effects from the fillers, his eyelids had dropped, making it difficult to see.
During the recent broadcast on the 9th of KBS JOY and KBS 2TV's 'Seeking Old Encounters' (hereafter 'Omanchu'), all cast members attended the first group meeting, including Hwang Dong-joo & Lee Young-ja, Koo Bon-seung & Kim Sook, Lee Jae-hwang & Jang Seo-hee, as well as Ji Sang-ryeol and Woo Hee-jin, who successfully made their final after choices.
While talking about recent news, Kim Sook asked, "Has our Bon-seung changed at all?" to which Woo Hee-jin responded, "His face has become younger." In response, Kim Sook said, "See that? Oppa has changed completely," while Lee Young-ja added, "He had eyes after all," eliciting laughter.
Previously, Koo Bon-seung had complained about the side effects of fillers. On the broadcast on the 2nd, Kim Sook and Koo Bon-seung were drawn having a date at a plastic surgery clinic. Kim Sook actively encouraged the procedure to help resolve Koo Bon-seung's concerns.
Kim Sook also approached Koo Bon-seung's concerns cautiously. He was curious about why he chose her in the final selection and felt relieved with the clear answer. Additionally, Kim Sook mentioned the open chat room for 'Omanchu,' saying, "We're the Bon-sook couple. There are so many Bon-sook couples, and the next most talked about thing is, 'Did oppa come after boxing?'—that's mentioned a lot."
Kim Sook asked, "Wasn't oppa's drooping eyes his charm?" to which Koo Bon-seung replied, "It was originally like that." Kim Sook cautiously approached with, "Did you hear the comments about your eyes, oppa?" Koo Bon-seung replied that he had, and Kim Sook stated, "It's unfortunate that people are discussing it like that."
Koo Bon-seung said, "But it shows more on camera," to which Kim Sook agreed, commenting, "My eyes are drooping as I age too. I tried to look into it. At plastics or dermatology, as you age, you go more often. When you're younger, recovery is faster. We also have to take care of ourselves."
Ultimately, Koo Bon-seung and Kim Sook ended up going on a date to the plastic surgery clinic. After arriving at the hospital, Koo Bon-seung revealed, "I had fillers here (on my eyelids). This is the filler," disclosing the secret behind his drooping eyes. Koo Bon-seung's severely drooping eyes were a result of filler side effects. The doctor also suspected it was due to the fillers.
Kim Sook joked, "I thought oppa had gotten fillers from someone else," to which Koo Bon-seung explained the reason for the side effects, "I had it done in May last year, and it was too much." Eventually, after Kim Sook's strong persuasion, Koo Bon-seung received a procedure to dissolve the fillers and appeared with a changed look, surprising Kim Sook. She remarked, "Oppa's eyes have become so clear!" expressing her astonishment at the results.
