The film "Lobby" (directed by Ha Jung-woo, produced by Workhouse Company and Film Momentum, provided by Michigan Venture Capital and WYSIWYG STUDIOS, distributed by SHOWBOX) is generating excitement with its lively fun and fresh combination of leading actors, and has released a production video for the "Lobby Project Proposal."
The film "Lobby," which is set to offer bubbly enjoyment like soda in theaters in April, has released a production video for the "Lobby Project Proposal" that captures the dynamic filming scene and the actors' cheerful thoughts. The story follows Choi-wook (Ha Jung-woo), a startup CEO who knows nothing beyond research, as he embarks on his first lobbying golf outing to secure a 4 trillion won national project.
The newly released video features the business proposal presentation concept, depicting Choi-wook's efforts to secure the national project, along with the actors' thoughts and behind-the-scenes footage, highlighting the meticulously conducted production process. Ha Jung-woo, who challenged himself with both directing and acting in this project, noted, "Unlike other projects, we conducted about 10 times more full readings with the actors to enhance the film's quality," emphasizing the dedication and passion he poured into the project. Additionally, Kwang Sun-young, who played Choi-wook's aide Kim, expressed that it was fun to see the director, after performing, calling cut, and noted her deep impression of Ha Jung-woo’s challenge in fulfilling both the director and actor roles.
Furthermore, Cha Joo-young, who plays the golf course representative, said, "As a fan who enjoyed Ha Jung-woo's brand of comedy, I wanted to participate in this project," while Lee Dong-hwi, who took on the role of journalist Park, remarked, "'Lobby' contains the DNA of the director's previous work 'Rollercoaster.' The director anticipated my state, direction, and next steps," expressing his unique fan feelings towards director Ha Jung-woo and increasing anticipation for the distinctly conceived comedy following their previous collaboration.
Additionally, curiosity intensifies regarding the casting reasons for each actor, revealed by director Ha Jung-woo as one of the project's key points. Since the film thrives on dialogue and comedic timing, director Ha Jung-woo had to cast optimal actors who could maximize the chemistry in performance among the actors. He focused on the inside story and freshness of each actor, resulting in well-cast actors poised to deliver strong laughter to the audience through their engaging performances.
With a thoroughly prepared production process capturing the actors' efforts to complete three-dimensional characters and the ensemble of dialogue, "Lobby" aims to showcase the actors' perfect chemistry and create anticipation.
The film "Lobby," which intensifies expectations by revealing a production video of the "Lobby Project Proposal" that allows viewers a glimpse into the actors' passion and cheerful on-set atmosphere, is scheduled to be released on April 2 (Wed).
