Yeji shared her feelings about debuting solo after six years.
On the 10th at 2 p.m., Yeji held a press conference to commemorate the release of her first solo mini album 'AIR' at the Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and conveyed her thoughts about her solo debut.
That day, Yeji introduced herself saying, "I am Yeji from ITZY, making my solo debut," and noted, "I'm so nervous. I had such a busy schedule that I couldn't feel the reality of my solo debut, but standing here now, I finally do. I really want to do well."
Yeji also revealed, "When I heard the news that I would be going solo, which I had only imagined from afar, I thought beyond just happiness, 'Has time really passed this quickly?' Being the first member to go solo put a lot of pressure on me," and added, "I think I was chosen as the first solo member because I am the oldest sister in the team and also the leader."
Yeji's first solo album 'AIR' will be released today (10th) at 6 p.m., filled with her music, performance, and a passionate energy towards the stage.
Last year, Yeji showcased her first solo song 'Crown On My Head (Yeji)' through ITZY's album 'BORN TO BE' and displayed the aura of a passionate queen. With her refreshing performances and relaxed expressions, Yeji has solidified her position as a 'performance queen,' and the music industry is paying attention to the special charm she will bring as a solo artist.
