This evening (10th) at 8:10 p.m., Channel A's 'Close Friend Documentary: Four-Person Table' will feature singer 'Henry.'
On this day, Henry invites actor Kim Soo-ro, who helped him gain recognition during his rookie days on a military entertainment program, broadcaster Sam Hammington, and Sayuri to hold a 'remind comrades reunion' 10 years after his discharge.
Henry reminisces about the difficult days he faced as a foreigner struggling to understand military terminology and culture, recalling moments from his past with his close friends, including jumping into icy water in the middle of winter. He confesses that he once escaped to a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) while avoiding harsh filming, only to be caught by his manager and returned.
Henry expresses gratitude to his senior Kim Soo-ro and Sam Hammington, who helped him not give up during that time, saying that he is who he is today because of them. On the other hand, Sam Hammington, also a foreign soldier, noted that he felt a sense of rivalry because Henry joined after him and took on the character of a foreign hole soldier. In response, Kim Soo-ro reveals that 'Henry took everything away from Sam Hammington at that time,' bringing laughter to the scene.
The four then reveal their current situations, thriving in their respective fields after the military entertainment program. Sam Hammington and Sayuri have become parents and welcomed their children into their lives, while Kim Soo-ro has been operating a theater production company for nine years, actively working both as an actor on stage and as a producer. Henry, who has gained love from many beyond entertainment through music, shares that he recently learned sound engineering from Kanye West's engineer in the U.S., showcasing his virtuoso-level violin playing and singing that impresses his close friends.
Meanwhile, now in his mid-30s, Henry shares, 'I work 364 days a year, but I don't actually know what I'm working so hard for,' revealing his worries. In response, fellow foreign broadcasters Sam Hammington and Sayuri offer Henry advice drawn from their own experiences. Sam Hammington advises, 'It's important to have a balance between work and life,' suggesting that Henry take time for himself. Sayuri comforts Henry by saying, 'Life is like a crosswalk. There are times to go and times to stop,' creating a warm atmosphere.
