'Searo' has achieved the highest viewership ratings for Saturday variety shows for four consecutive weeks.
On the broadcast from KBS 2TV on the 8th, episodes about the daily lives of Park Seo-jin and Ji Sang-ryeol, as well as the new project 'Memorial Searo,' were revealed. Special guest announcer Jeong Eun-hye, known as 'Seoul National University Karina' and 'KBS Karina,' joined them. The viewership ratings recorded 6.0% based on Nielsen Korea nationwide, and a scene where Park Seo-jin and Ji Sang-ryeol, who went to Incheon Wolmido, were attacked by seagulls while feeding them snacks caused big laughs, reaching a peak viewership rate of 7.9%.
That day, Park Seo-jin headed somewhere with flowers while wearing an excited expression. He noted, "I was invited by someone I want to get close to for the first time in my life," adding, "That person resembles a puppy, makes me smile when I'm with them, and for some reason, I feel good. They are someone I don't want to miss in my life," which sparked curiosity.
The puppy-like person Park Seo-jin mentioned was Ji Sang-ryeol. Known for being extremely shy, Park Seo-jin was a deep fan of Ji Sang-ryeol to the extent that he asked for his contact information first for the first time in his life, confessing, "Hyung is very funny and a special person who is my ideal type." Ji Sang-ryeol then recalled a story from a shaman in the past, saying, "They said a good person would come this year; is it you? Hyung should also meet a girl." Riding alone, Park Seo-jin wailed in despair and fear, stating, "The betrayal was enough to melt away my feelings for Sang-ryeol hyung and overcome my fear of heights."
Later, the two had their first drinking session and shared deep conversations. Having gained much love after a long period of obscurity, Park Seo-jin confessed, "Since I am receiving the spotlight in a short time, I feel very cautious. I worry about wanting to keep that position and thinking I could slip at any moment. Sometimes, I feel like 'I am a vessel that can't hold this.'" In response, Ji Sang-ryeol candidly shared his own experiences, advising, "No one can take the reins of life for you. You have to be healthy. Enjoy today, it's important," leaving a great impact.
Ji Sang-ryeol stated, "I always say that even if we meet just once a year, there are truly close friends. Regardless of age or hierarchy, that is a real friend and companion." Park Seo-jin agreed, saying, "I don't have anyone I can talk openly to when I'm struggling, but while talking with Sang-ryeol hyung this time, I felt he was someone who could offer much advice. Eun Ji-won and Baek Ji-young have joined forces for a new project of 'Searo.' They decided to create a project, informally called 'Memorial Searo,' where they would find the current status of stars from the 1990s, decorated on a page of history, collaborating with the production team.
