In 'I Live Alone', BTS's J-Hope shared his thoughts on marriage.
On the 7th, in an episode of MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone', J-Hope revealed his thoughts on marriage.
Traveling in a convertible, J-Hope had an appointment. He met an enigmatic woman. It turned out to be his '4-year difference' older sister, who closely resembled him. J-Hope said, 'My sister happened to be in the U.S. for business, and the timing was perfect,' adding, 'We're very close, and I want to take good care of her since I often teased her when we were younger as her little brother.' Everyone remarked, 'He's the best little brother.'
On that day, he also shared concerns he had while working on music in L.A. However, not wanting to worry his sister, J-Hope said, 'It seems to be going well.' His sister reassured him, saying, 'Well, that's good.'
In an interview with the production team, J-Hope stated, 'As family, we share our concerns, but I don't share everything.' He reflected, 'I'm the type to endure things alone, and I feel like I shouldn't show difficulty in front of my family, so I feel compelled to endure.'
Continuing, his sister noted, 'I think family is important. Since we are busy, we can't visit often after marriage,' adding, 'Our parents might feel upset, but they don't say much about it. It's also necessary to call unexpectedly once in a while,' scolding J-Hope to 'make a call more often.' To this, J-Hope replied, 'Is it because I'm a son that it's embarrassing?' and while feeling shy, said, 'I'll do that when I get married,' suggesting they take and send photos to their parents, after which he took a picture with his sister.
Particularly regarding marriage, when asked if he thought about it, J-Hope replied, 'I might not get married at all.' He continued, 'The older I get, the more I can't help but think about it.' When asked why he considers he might not marry, J-Hope explained, 'I love my work too much,' mentioning, 'My motivation and driving force in life come from feeling accomplished in my work. I don't think of myself as someone against marriage, though.'
Perhaps that's why, upon hearing his sister is preparing for a second child, J-Hope replied, 'It will be so cute,' already reserving himself as an uncle and bringing a warm atmosphere.
