J-Hope of BTS celebrated the release of his new song "Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)" by gifting fans a sweet day.
J-Hope conducted a comeback live "Sweet Dreams with J-Hope" on the global super fan platform Weverse at 11 p.m. (Korean time) on the 6th and hosted an offline fan event "Sweet Dreamland" at Gavit Island in the Seocho District of Seoul at 1 p.m. on the 7th, spending unforgettable time with fans.
During the comeback live, J-Hope said, "I will be with you until the offline fan event starts. I will also have 'Sweet Dreams' while going live," and he continued broadcasting for 12 hours. He communicated with fans until dawn on various topics such as late-night eating broadcasts, writing a drawing diary, and how to sleep well, showing a casual side as he actually took a deep sleep in a set decorated like a bedroom.
The live broadcast did not end there. When morning came, J-Hope shared a live stream of his preparations to attend the offline fan event and his journey to the venue. After arriving at the event location and greeting fans, he concluded the 12-hour live broadcast. This live session recorded approximately 27 million cumulative views, breaking the record for the highest real-time play count on Weverse.
At "Sweet Dreamland," diverse segments were held, including talks about recent updates and a balance game. Particularly, leading up to the release of "Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)," there was a music video reveal countdown, a dance challenge to learn the new song, and a fan cheering introduction, as he welcomed the new track together with fans. J-Hope expressed his excitement, saying, "I usually get nervous right before releasing a new song, but waiting together with ARMY makes it much better."
J-Hope surprised fans by showcasing the new song's stage, and they responded by passionately shouting cheering slogans. Additionally, right after the performance, a banner celebrating his world tour and upcoming activities was unexpectedly raised, surprising J-Hope. He shared his feelings, saying, "I have had a dream-like time until now. It was even more meaningful to be able to perform in front of you all after the song's release. I thank all of you, ARMY, for being here today."
J-Hope showed remarkable love for fans until the end. On June 13, the anniversary of BTS's debut, he warmly greeted each of the 613 fans invited to the venue. Not only that, he added to the sweet memories by gifting desserts to fans and provided a live broadcast on Weverse for those who could not attend, creating a moment for everyone.
Meanwhile, J-Hope's digital single "Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)," released on the 7th at 2 p.m., topped the iTunes "Top Songs" chart in 79 countries/regions, including the U.S., U.K., Japan, France, Canada, Australia, and Brazil, until 9 a.m. on the 8th. It also dominated the "Worldwide iTunes Song" and "European iTunes Song" charts, proving its global popularity.
