Disney's live-action film 'Snow White' (director Marc Webb) has been generating intense reactions both in support and against it even before its release, and the cancellation of the UK premiere event is drawing attention.

On the 5th (local time), the UK media outlet Daily Mail reported that "the 'Snow White' team has unusually canceled the London premiere red carpet event despite the film being set to release this month."

A large-scale event was initially planned, but instead, a media schedule with a strictly controlled number of journalists will take place. Additionally, the premiere scheduled in the U.S. will proceed as planned.

In this regard, an insider noted, "Disney anticipated public backlash against 'Snow White' and scaled down to a small press event. This is a very unusual measure," adding, "It also serves to minimize media questions regarding lead actress RAY Ziegler."

'Snow White' is Disney's first princess and is a live-action adaptation of the globally beloved animation of the same name. Notably, RAY Ziegler, who won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy, plays the title role of Snow White, attracting attention due to the debate over the casting of the Latin actress despite the original title being 'SNOW WHITE.'

Additionally, RAY Ziegler's past criticisms of the original film, including remarks that it is "outdated," "a strange film," and that "Disney portrays princesses and powerful women in problematic ways" have resurfaced, sparking controversy.

Due to the ongoing controversies even before the release, the first trailer for 'Snow White,' released in December last year, received over a million 'dislikes.'

Meanwhile, 'Snow White' is scheduled to be released on the 19th.
