Four years have passed since actress Lee Ji-eun, who starred in dramas in the 1990s, left this world.
March 8, 2025, marks the fourth anniversary of the late actress Lee Ji-eun. Lee was found dead at her home in Jung-gu, Seoul, on March 8, 2021.
Lee Ji-eun is reported to have been living alone after her son, with whom she had been living, enlisted in the military, and the police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from a friend who noted that "Lee is not responding to calls."
Lee Ji-eun, who debuted as a model in 1994 through the SBS drama "Good Morning", garnered much love by appearing in films such as "Geumhong-A Geumhong-A", "Love Love", "Blue Door", "End of the Century", as well as dramas including "Feeling", "A Morning of Young People", "Dad's Lover", "Daughter-in-Law Three Kingdoms", "Color", "Mom Can't Be Stopped", "OK Ranch", "Model", "The King and I", and "Unaware of Others' Thoughts".
Amid such activity, Lee Ji-eun won several awards including the Best New Actress Award at the 6th Chun-Sa Film Awards, the Best New Actress Award at the 16th Blue Dragon Film Awards, the Best New Actor Award at the 15th Korean Film Critics Association Awards, the Best New Actress Award at the 34th Daejong Film Awards, and the Photogenic Award at the KBS Acting Awards in 1996.
After "The Great King Sejong", Lee Ji-eun is known to have left the entertainment industry after marrying a businessman in 2000, and the fact that she divorced in 2015 was revealed later.
